Me: *Awkwardly looks at the long line of people giving me dirty looks for taking so long* Umm, I hate to rush you, but your fans are waiting. *Stands there and actually reads a couple lines* Me: A human girl turned mermaid who has to save a world of sea creatures. Her: Oh my goodness! *flips through the pages and looks at the cover again* TANGLED TIDES. Her: *examines the book* You’re the author of this book? Readers might be wondering what Ariel and I talked about when we met, so here’s how the conversation went: That’s okay though, because Ariel said yes! My love began with Sea Wee dolls and Madison from the movie SPLASH, but Daryl Hannah never answered my request to meet up and sign my book. And I’m thrilled to sign beside one of the stars who deepened my love for mermaids. So, it’s no big surprise that I asked my friend Ariel (aka The Little Mermaid, most famous mermaid EVER-in my humble and professional opinion) to help me with a giveaway for the Mermaid Splash.Īs you can see from the photo, she happily signed a copy of TANGLED TIDES. ![]() Now, we live so close to Disney World that we can go whenever we want. ![]() I grew up in a house filled with Disney collectibles, and we went to Disney World or Disneyland every year (sometimes more than once a year) since as far back as I can remember. ![]()
